This model is the Unknown [Chinese] DongFeng - PLA WS-1 King Rocket Launcher in the military green livery of the People's Liberation Army of China.
I bought these models as they were advertised as being 1/43 scale and I thought they would complement the Century Dragon models I already had. Sadly they turned out to be closer to 1/36 scale and I disposed of them before writing up these pages. What little information is here is gleaned from memory and the few photos I took when they arrived.
The model has opening doors on the cab, a lifting missile launcher and a light and sound effect [flashing lights and a missile launch sound]. The components on the model are all well made and the vehicle has been assembled well with most large components being screwed in place.
The interior is black plastic with a left hand drive black plastic steering wheel. The glazing is clear.
All wheels are of a commercial type - solid one piece hubs with a black "rubber" tyre.
The base plate/chassis is black painted metal and is held in place with self tapping screws.
This model was issued circa 2010.
