This model is the Unknown 22h-G-1 Streamlined Saloon in red. Possibly produced by Ian Law of PP Copy Models or The Dinky Club. Both have produced a number of modern reproductions of Dinky Toys plus some in response to collectors' requests for items they believe Dinky should have produced.
The model has no opening features as it is based on the style of the Dinky 22 series cars. The car is comprised of a single main casting, the main body.
At the front, the grille and headlights are cast into the body and picked out in silver. At the sides the doors are cast into the body and at the rear the wheel covers also form part of the body. Also on the sides there are rudimentary representations of the engine louvres and body trim cast into the body. There are no bumpers fitted to the model.
There is no interior or glazing.
There is no base plate on this model but the underside of the roof carries the legend "Meccano, Dinky Toys, Made, in, England" on five lines, with the first two lines being crudely scored out.
All wheels are of a smooth, convex, cast metal type - solid one piece cast metal hub and white rubber tyres, mounted on steel axles.
I do not know when this model was first issued but think it was post 2000.
