This model is the Triang Minic 3544 Army Radar Truck in olive green. This item is plastic and has a flywheel friction drive. Attached to the rear is a clear plastic radar dish.

The model has a diecast plastic body. It has been shaped with rudimentary representations of the body lines, the rear radar machinery box, and the radar dish. There is no glazing.

The original black plastic front wheels are still on the model, mounted on a plastic axle. The rear driving wheels appear to be rubber, attached to a steel axle that passes through the friction drive motor to power the vehicle, the flywheel being mounted inside the body.

There is no base plate. The underside of the casting carries the legend "Triang" and "Made in England", the friction drive has been press fitted to the body and the plastic body pins melted to hold it to the body.

I do not know exactly when this item was issued but believe it to be between the 1950s and 1960s.
