This model is the Spot-On 114 Jaguar 3.4 Litre in pale blue. This is a RESTORED item.
This model features a single piece cast body with all detail cast in. The entire body is painted pale blue with the front bumper, grille, headlight lenses, and front side light lenses picked out in silver. The rear tail lights are picked out in red and the rear bumper and over-riders are silver. The front and rear number plates are white on black background decals [PJL 114].
The interior is cream plastic, but has been fitted too far back in the body during re-assembly. The glazing is clear all round.
The base plate is dark grey painted cast metal. It is marked with "Spot-On" at the top centre, "Models by Triang" below this and above the driveshaft, "1/43 Scale, Jaguar 3.4, Made in Gt. Britain" at the bottom centre and below the driveshaft. It carries rudimentary representations of the engine, gearbox, driveshaft, differential, suspension, and exhaust system. The base is fitted to the body by two replacement rivets.
All wheels consist of the standard cast variety, have been repainted in silver, and fitted with black rubber tyres. They are mounted on steel axles.
The original model was issued from 1960. I do not know when this restoration was done.
