This model is the Solido Renault Daupine in white as released as part of a publication house part-works (possibly by Hachette).
The model has no opening parts. It has a chromed front and rear bumpers, chromed front spotlights and chromed flashing below and behind the rear door. The headlights are represented by clear lenses with chromed surrounds set into the body casting and the rear lights are red lenses fitted to the body. The model has clear glazing all round with the front windscreens being moulded to show the two wipers.
The interior is a black plastic with a left hand drive black plastic steering wheel. I really don't know why manufacturers insist on using all black interiors because it is so hard to see them all the detail is lost on the viewer.
All wheels have simulated chrome hubs - solid, one piece black plastic that incorporates the tyre, with separate "rim and hubcap" insert.
The base plate is black plastic and is marked with "Solido, Made in France" on two lines at the top centre, "Renault Dauhpine at the centre bottom, "1/43" behind the rear axle and "5" over the rear axle. It is held in place with a single self tapping screw and hidden body lug.
I do not know when this model was issued. Its stated scale is 1:43.
