This model is the Oxford Diecast 76DTYP001 Jaguar D Type in dark green racing livery as used in the 1956 Le Mans.
The model has no opening parts. To the front of the vehicle we have a black radiator grille above which is a minute red badge set into the centre of the bonnet. Either side of this sit the head lights, chromed and cast into the body wheel well casting. Below the right hand headlight is a number plate with red on white background lettering [393 RW].
The front windscreen is encompasses the cockpit. The bonnet, left side, right side of the rear fin, and rear are finished off with tampo printed racing numbers, black "1" on a white background.
At the rear the rear lights are represented by red and orange dots either side of the red on white number plate. Above the number plate is a tampo printed centre badge.
The interior has two black plastic seats, no visible dashboard, and a grey plastic, right hand, steering wheel which has been inserted into the dashboard area. The glazing is clear all around the cockpit and over the left hand seat.
All wheels are of a "capped" hub style - a silver plastic hub with simulated silver hub cap and a separate "rubber" tyre.
The base plate is black plastic with a rudimentary representation of a driveshaft, suspension, and exhaust system. It is attached to the body casting by two small self tapping screws and carries the legend "Oxford" at the top centre.
