This model is the Matchbox Yesteryear Y27-1-A-1 Foden C Type Steam Wagon (1922) in black Tarmac livery. It comes packed in its original type J maroon box. This Code 3 version has the scarce type A body, and was issued as a limited edition. This item is #107 of an unknown quantity.
The model has a Black body and roof and glossy red chassis. The boiler, and interior are also black. The rear body has Gold "Tarmac" lettering along each side and across the tail gate. The front cab area has gold and black paneling and a top sign reading "Tarmac" in Gold.
