This model is the Matchbox Yesteryear Ford Model T Van (1912) in Bang & Olufsen livery. It comes packed in the original straw coloured box. This is an Official Code 2 model produced in 1981 and only 750 were produced. The models were completely disassembled (hence the drilled base rivets), stripped of their original labels and paint, and then repainted in the new colours with the relevant Bang & Olufsen decals. Each model has a release number stamped into the base which should tie in with the number on the Certificate of Authenticity. This model has the stamped number but the CoA has gone missing.

The model has no opening parts. The vehicle roof is black, the seats are black plastic, the rear door type is a black Type "1", and the rear lights are red. There is no glazing.

Coded to the 2002 Yesteryear Book

Other Comments/Identifying Features: The model has black Type 1 rear doors (single line tampo) featuring the B&O logo and Danish "By Appointment" crest, red rear lights and "Y12" on the base plate. The base plate was held in place by three machined rivets originally, but these have been drilled out during dis-assembly and it is not certain whether the body has been glued in place or what was left of the rivets re-spun. The base is also stamped with the issue number "583".
