Matchbox Yesteryear: Y09-2-A-4 Simplex (1912)

This model is the Matchbox Yesteryear Y09-2-A-4 Simplex (1912) in Mid Green. It came originally in a type E1 coloured picture box.

The model has a glossy Mid Green body, bonnet, chassis, running boards and wheel arches, and a smooth tan roof. The steering wheel is black, the radiator grille is dark red, and the seats are all bright red.

Other Comments/Identifying Features: The model has the smooth roof in tan, Type "A" body with roof pins cast on body, and the type "1" battery cover with 5 ridges. The baseplate is held in place with two machined rivets and the dashboard and lights casting is fixed to the base with a single brass machined rivet.

Originally issued between 1969 and 1970, it has a stated scale of 1:48.
