This model is the Matchbox Yesteryear Y5-4-D Talbot Van (1927) in black, St. John Ambulance Brigade, Priory of Wales livery. It comes packed in the original straw coloured box. This item is a Code 3 model produced as a limited edition, this model is #268 of an unknown quantity.
The model has no opening parts other than the rear doors which are painted in the body colour, black. The vehicle roof is black, the seats are tan plastic, and the tool box lid is brass coloured. There is no glazing.

Other Comments/Identifying Features: The model has the St John crest on the upper rear body, "St. John Ambulance, Brigade, Priory, Of Wales" (on 4 lines) decals on the lower rear body, and a decal with "No1" inside and oval on the front doors. The rear doors have the word "Ambulance" across the top, above the windows, and a St John Star below each window. The word "Ambulance appears above the front windscreen. The model is finsihed with front and rear number plates [SJA 87].
The base plate is black painted metal and is held in place by three machined rivets. It is marked "Made in England" under the left running board, "Matchbox, © 1978 No Y-5, Models of Yesteryear, 1927 Talbot Van" on 4 lines to the centre of the base, and "Lesney Products & Co. Ltd" on the underside of the right running board. It also has a white number "268" on the underside of the left running board, next to the tool box.
Date of issue is unknown and it has a stated scale of 1:47.
