This is the Lincoln (NZ) 4503 Austin Petrol Tanker issued in the late 1950s as part of the Matchbox Series in Yellow.
This version of the model is a one piece casting with simplistic detail such as bumpers, lights, body lines and trim etc. cast into the metal. There is no glazing or base to the model. The body is sprayed in a single colour, yellow. On the under-side, the model carries no manufacturer's marks or country of origin. The original axles are pointed on both ends, carry solid metal wheels (knobbly tread), and are pinch-clamped to pillar mounts on the body casting, one wide pillar under the "cab" area and one under the rear roof.
