Leslie Henry Pickup Truck (Large)

This is the Leslie Henry Pickup Truck originally issued in the 1950s in yellow. It is 148mm long, 52mm wide and 50mm high and has been over painted in some spots.

It is a one piece casting with all detail such as grille, bumpers, lights, body lines and trim, etc. cast into the metal. There is no glazing or base to the model. On the under-side the model carries the legend "Pickup Truck" cast on a single line under the rear body tray area. A very faint "Made __ _A_A_A" appears below this. The mold number "1" is cast under the cab roof area. The country of origin has been blocked or ground out, which is one why I believe it is a Leslie Henry model made from the Londontoy die.

The wheels are made of solid rubber on domed steel axles that pass through the wheels and are pinch-clamped to the flat columns that protrude from the body of the model. The rubber wheels have had the centres painted silver - this may, or may not, have been done in the factory.
