This is the Leslie Henry T1 Locomotive originally issued circa 1947 in black. It is 103mm long, 20mm wide and 34mm high.
It is a one piece casting with all detail such as chimney, lights, bell, driving wheels, body lines and trim, etc. cast into the metal. Each side has "7000" cast on it. There is no glazing or base to the model. On the under-side the model carries the legend "T1, Made in" cast on two lines under the boiler area, the "Canada" and Londontoys" having been blanked out. The mold number "3" is cast under the cab roof area. The wheels are made of pressed paper or cardboard, painted black, on flat axles that pass through the wheels and are pinch-clamped to the flat columns that protrude from the body of the model.
This item is thought to have been issued circa 1950.
