This is the Goodee Land Speed Racer issued in the mid 1950s in orange. This isthe version without the bubble fenders.
This version of the model is a one piece casting with simplistic detail such as front air louvres, bonnet chevrons, body lines and cockpit cast into the metal. There is no glazing or base to the model. On the under-side the model carries the legend "Made in U.S.A" cast on one line under the rear and the "Goodee" trademark(?) under the bonnet. The flat end axles pass through the black, solid rubber wheels and are pinch-clamped to mounts on the body casting.
This item is believed to have been issued in the mid-1950s.
