This model is the Glam Toy Products GTP-574 2 Door Sedan Car in Pink and Blue.
The model has a one-piece, pressed metal body, 103mm in length. It has been shaped with rudimentary representations of the body lines. There is no glazing - all the features are litho-printed onto the body and driver and passenger are printed in the windows (as are the windscreen wipers). At the front are representations of the windows, head lights and detailed grille, and bumper but, unlike earlier models in the series, without printed number plate – just a black panel where the number plate would be. The bonnet is not outlined but has white "trim" down the middle. To the sides there is a two tone paint effect in pink and blue separated by a thin black line, outlines of the doors and the door handles are present (as on other models in the range). The upper front sides have three white shaped lines possibly representing body louvres just above where the wheels would be. The roof is blue and the rear has the boot lid outlined in black, the legend "Made in England" below the boot lid and above the boot handle is the black number plate with pink lettering reading "GTP 574" (NOTE the absence of the full stops/dots that appear between the letters GTP on other models in the range). Either side of the boot, the rear lights are positioned inside a white flash that may be meant to represent rear body trim. At the bottom of the body is a printed bumper with over-riders.
The original two part, pressed tin wheels are still on the model , mounted on steel axles with crimped ends.
The base plate is a single piece, flat, pressed tin unit. It has been press fitted to the body and the edges rolled to hold it over the edges of the body. It has been plated or painted in a silver coating, which on this model has mostly disappeared. There are no manufacturer's marks or country of origin details on the base.
I do not know exactly when this item was issued but believe it to be between 1950 and 1959.
