This model is the Glam Toy Products GTP-564 Mobile Shop Van in GTP Mobile Shop livery of Blue.

The model has a one-piece, pressed metal body, 105mm in length. It has been shaped with rudimentary representations of the body lines and wheel arches. There is no glazing - all the features are litho-printed onto the body. At the front are representations of the windows with driver, passenger and windscreen wipers plus the grille and headlights. To the sides the male driver and passenger can be seen in the door windows, with an open serving window on each of the upper sides in which can be seen the female sales person and the items for sale. Towards the front, and beside these windows, is a Price List in red lettering on a yellow background. The lower sides have white "Today's Special" lettering on the blue background and have black wheel arch covers. The roof is predominantly blue with "G.T.P. Mobile Shop" in Yellow lettering down each side and six roof windows towards the rear. The rear is also blue and bears the legend "Made in England" in black lettering on the blue rear door with a black numberplate below this with white lettering reading "G.T.P. 564". Either side of the door are two further product display windows in white and red and yellow rear lights.

The original two part, pressed tin wheels are still on the model, mounted on steel axles with crimped ends.

The baseplate is a single piece, pressed tin unit shaped with a strengthening panel down the centre line. It has been press fitted to the body and the edges rolled to hold it over the edges of the body. It appears to have been plated or painted silver. There are no manufacturer's marks or country of origin details on the base.

I do not know exactly when this item was issued but believe it to be between 1950 and 1959.
