This model is the Glam Toy Products GTP-553 Tour Coach in Pullman Coaches livery of dark blue, red, green, and yellow.
The model has a one-piece, pressed metal body, 123mm in length. It has been shaped with rudimentary representations of the body lines and ridged roof line. There is no glazing - all the features are litho-printed onto the body. At the front are representations of the windows with driver and windscreen wipers. To the sides the passengers can be seen, one in each window. The lower sides are in red with blue wheel arch 'covers', while the upper body is in green and yellow. The roof is predominantly green with a red ridge line and roof windows above the front window. The roof sides carry "Pullman Coaches" in yellow lettering. The rear bears the legend "Made in England" above the luggage doors with a white numberplate below the doors with black lettering reading "G.T.P. 553".
The original two part, pressed tin wheels are still on the model , mounted on steel axles with crimped ends.
The base plate is a single piece, pressed tin unit shaped with a strengthening panel down the centre line. It has been press fitted to the body and the edges rolled to hold it over the edges of the body. It incorporates the front grille and appears to have been plated in a silver coating which on this model had worn off over time. There is no manufacturer's marks or country of origin details on the base.
I do not know exactly when this item was issued but believe it to be between 1950 and 1959.
