This model is the Glam Toy Products GTP-538 Speedboat in Blue and Tan.
The model has a two-piece, pressed metal body, 115mm in length. It has been shaped with rudimentary representations of the upper body lines. There is no glazing - all the features are litho-printed onto the body. At the front are representations of the raised deck skylight/hatch and a coil of mooring rope with bollard. The decking is printed on the top surface and a raised cabin is in the centre of the boat. Printed on this raised portion are windows, Life Rings, spotlight, and cabin opening. To the read are more printed bollards , chain and mooring ropes. The upper deck also carries the legend "Made in Gt Britain" in black on the red background, just below a white rectangle with black lettering [G.T.P. 538]. The lower surface is the hull in blue.
This item has no wheels and is obviously intended to float.
There is no baseplate as the lower portion of the body is the shaped hull. It has been press fitted to the upper body and the edges of the upper body rolled to hold it over the edges hull.
I do not know exactly when this item was issued but believe it to be between 1950 and 1959.
