This model is the Dyna-Mo R40 Horse Drawn Ice Wagon which comes a kit (minus horse) in unpainted form.
The model is a two-piece body molded with representations of the wagon bed and roof, a separate casting forms the bar shafts and front axle, and then there are 4 cast spoked wheels. The rear bed is attached to the roof by using the included cardboard walls that form three sides. This cardboard is printed with "Mike's Ice".
There is no baseplate and there are no manufacturer's markings of country of origin on the model anywhere.
The model comes in a plain brown cardboard box. On the face of the box is printed the Dyna-Models logo to the left centre, " "Dyna-Mo" " to the upper right and "Dyna-Model Products Company, 75 South Street, Oyster Bay, Long Island, New York" on two lines at the centre bottom. The right end flap has "R.40" to the top left, "HO" to the top right, "Ice Wagon" in the middle centre, and "50c" at the centre bottom. All text is in red lettering. The bottom side reads "Cut out sides nad cement to base and top. Pinch axle ends after installing wheels." All other sides are plain. I have assumed from the end flap the original price of the model was $0.50.
This model was issued circa the 1940s or 1950s.
