This model is the Dinky 475-G-1a Ford Model T in dark blue and black. This model is incomplete but is catalogued by me as issue 1a as it conforms to the description given in the references. The second issue listed below has been catalogued as 1b as it has an unlisted/unreferenced yellow interior.

The model is a multiple piece casting. The body is molded with representations of the bonnet, "cab", and rear. At the front a separate casting forms the grille (with Ford emblem), headlights and starting handle, all in a gold plated effect. Attached to the "cab" is another, separate, gold plated casting forming the windscreen surround and side lights (originally with clear glazing - now missing). The rear is a plain casting with the rear light picked out in red.

The interior consists of a brown plastic cast seat and roof tonneau, male driver in green, female passenger in grey, and a yellow steering wheel (now missing).

The base plate is cast to represent the front and rear wheel arches, running boards, front and rear suspension, engine block, gearbox, drive shaft, rear differential, and exhaust system. It is marked "Dinky Toys" at the centre top just under the running board, "Model T Ford" below this on the "chassis rail", "Meccano Ltd England" to the bottom centre on the opposing "chassis rail", and "475" parallel to, and behind, the rear axle. The base is held in place by a single machined rivet to the front and a rear body locating lug.

All wheels consist of yellow, 12 spoke plastic hubs with black tyres fitted to steel domed axles. As can be seen two are missing from this model.

This model was issued between 1964 and 1968.
