Dinky 162-H-1 Triumph 1300

This model is the Dinky 162-H-1 Triumph 21300 in Pale Blue. It came with its original yellow card, pictorial style Dinky box.

The model features an opening trunk and bonnet which reveals a silver engine. At the front the Triumph badge, grille, and bumper are highlighted in silver. The front headlights are represented by clear jeweled lenses and the number plate has a silver lettering on black background label [INJ 483C] The sides have the cast outlines of the body lines, doors, door handles and petrol cap with the handles and petrol cap picked out in silver. The rear lights are highlighted in red and the rear bumper is silver. A rear number plate label [INJ 483C] is fixed to the boot lid.

It has a red plastic interior with a black plastic, right hand drive steering wheel. The glazing is clear all round, with molded windscreen wipers and interior rear vision mirror..

The base plate is black painted metal with motor, drive shaft, suspension, and exhaust system detail. It is marked with "Dinky Toys, Meccano Ltd" on two lines at the top centre, "Triumph, 1300" on two lines in the middle centre, "Made In England, Patent Numbers, 920534 & 891681/2" in a block of three lines at the bottom centre, and "162" to the rear parallel to the rear axle. The base is held in place by a single machined rivet to the front and a large body locating lug to the rear (inside the boot).

All wheels consist of silver spun hubs with black rubber tyres on steel axles.

This model was issued between 1967 and 1969.
