This model is the Dinky 152-G-3b Austin Devon in the colour scheme of olive green with tan hubs. I have coded it 3b as it has tan hubs and the references refer to hubs in the body colour for issue 3 of the Austin Devon.
The model features no opening parts, all features are cast into the body casting. At the front the headlights, centre grille, and bumper are picked out in silver. The bonnet has a cast centre line and Austin badge/handle. The sides show cast body lines and doors with handles. The rear has cast number plate and tail lights in the body colour, a silver painted bumper and cast boot lid with hinges and handle.
There is no interior or glazing on this model.
All wheels are of the shaped cast metal type - solid one piece cast metal hubs, painted tan, with a separate black "rubber" tyre on a steel domed axle.
The base plate of this model is lacquered or painted metal, held in place by three machined rivets, one at the front and two at the rear. It carries the legend Dinky Toys at the centre top, "Austin Devon" on the second line, "Made in England" on the third line, and "Meccano Ltd" on the bottom centre line.
This item was issued between 1954 and 1960.
