This model is the Dinky 25v/252 Bedford Rubbish Truck in tan.

The model features a winding mechanism that allows the rear body to be tipped for emptying through use of the side mounted winder handle. The rear body comes with two sliding side hatch door (through which the rubbish would have entered the tipping body) and a rear hatch (through which the rubbish would exit after tipping). These hatches are painted green. The tipping rear is cast metal with a tinplate base riveted on. There appears to be no markings on these items. The cab and chassis is molded in one piece and has a tinplate base fitted. At the rear of the chassis is the legend "Made in England" and the tin base carries "Dinky, Toys, Bedford, Meccano Ltd" on four lines. A separate casting forms the front bumper, grille and lights in black and this is fitted to the cab front.

There is no interior or glazing on this model.

All wheels are of the shaped cast metal type - solid one piece cast metal hubs, painted red, with a separate black "rubber" tyre.

This model was issued between 1948 and 1953.
