Corgi GS26-A-1 Beach Buggy and Sailing Boat

This model is the Corgi GS26-A-1 Beach Buggy and Sailing Boat consisting of a #381 open purple Beach Buggy towing a yellow trailer carrying a red and white sailing boat with a blue mast and sail.

There are no opening parts on this model.

The interior of the Beach Buggy has red seats and floor at the front with a gold right hand side steering wheel and an open purple trunk. The glazing is a clear unframed windscreen.

The boat's hull is white while the top is red. The blue mast and sail are detached. At the back of the boat is a grey antenna.

The wheels of the Beach Buggy are black with chrome hubs and the back wheels are slightly larger than the front wheels. The wheels of the trailer are "Whizzwheels" - Hollow black wheels with painted 5-spoke chrome hubs.

The base plate of the Beach Buggy is chrome metal and is marked with CORGI TOYS followed by "Whizzwheels" at the centre, G.P. Beach Buggy at the centre bottom and "PAT APP 3396/69" on top of the front right wheel and "Made in Great Britain" on top of the back right wheel. The base plate is held in place with the usual two machined rivets, front and rear.

The trailer is a simple metal casting marked with "Corgi Toys" just behind the axle.

This model was issued between July 1971 and was withdrawn in 1976.
