This model is the Corgi C450-B-1 Peugeot 505 Taxi in Cream. This model used the 373 casting and has a paper label on each front door and on the boot advertising the phone number 739.33.33.
It has opening front doors only and carried a separately cast "TAXI" roof sign. The front headlights are represented by chromed plastic inserts and the rear lights by clear red plastic inserts. Both the grill and front and rear bumpers are plain black plastic.
The interior is red plastic with a left hand drive, black plastic steering wheel inserted into the red plastic dashboard (instrument panel). The glazing is clear all round with an imprint on the front windscreen to represent the interior rear vision mirror and windscreen wipers and stripes in the rear window to represent the demisters.
All wheels are of the "speed wheel" type - hollow one piece plastic with a "chromed" patterned "hub"in the center.
The base plate is cream painted metal and is marked in the top centre with Corgi on line one, "Made in GT Britain" on the second line, and "Peugeot 505 STi" at the bottom centre. The base is also molded to represent basic steering linkages, suspension, exhaust system and rear drive train. It is held in place with two rivets.
This model was issued in February 1983 specifically for the French market. Its scale was said to be 1:36.
