This model is the Corgi 425-A-1 Austin London Taxi in black.
The car has opening rear doors. The exterior has front and rear chrome plastic bumpers. The front bumper is molded to include the number plate. The headlights are represented by painted silver circles while the tail lights are represented by painted orange teardrops over the molded impressions on the body casting.
The interior is light brown plastic with a right hand drive, black plastic steering wheel inserted into the light brown dashboard (instrument panel). This model has folding seat cushions on the rear backwards facing seats. The glazing is clear with a sliding privacy window separating the front and back of the taxi. There is no glazing on the two rear opening doors.
All wheels are of the "speed wheel" type - hollow one piece plastic with a "chromed" patterned "hub" in the center.
The base plate is silver painted metal and is marked at the centre top with corgi, at the bottom centre "Austin London Taxi" and "Made in GT. Britain" By the rear rivet. The base is also molded to represent a basic drive train from gearbox to differential and exhaust system. It is held in place with two machined rivets.
