This model is the Corgi 319-C-1 Jaguar XJS in metallic maroon.
At the front the headlights consist of painted silver plastic inserts set into the body casting, while both bumpers and grill are cast into a black plastic insert that fits between the body casting and the baseplate. Both of this model's doors open to expose a tan interior with black plastic, right hand drive steering wheel set into the dashboard (instrument panel). There is clear glazing all round except for the two opening doors, the front windscreen has a cast interior rear view mirror and the rear window has cast parallel lines that represent the rear demister. The rear bumper is another black plastic insert that fits between the body and baseplate and has a tow-hook attached. The rear tail lights are represented by red plastic mouldings that are inserted into the body casting.
All wheels are of the "speed wheel" type - hollow one piece plastic with a "chromed" center.
The base plate is painted metal in metallic maroon with basic twin exhaust, drive shaft, suspension and axles. It is marked with "Corgi" at the centre top, "Made in GT Britain" on a second line below this and "Jaguar XJS" at the centre bottom. It is held in place with two machined rivets.
This item was released between November 1978 and 1981 Its scale is said to be 1/36.
