This model is the Corgi 218-A-1-b Aston Martin DB4 in yellow.
It has an opening bonnet only. The exterior is painted yellow with the grille and headlights picked out in silver and rear indicators picked out in orange. The bumpers and all other features are cast into the body. This version has the open air scoop.
The interior is a red plastic insert into which a grey plastic steering wheel has been fitted. The glazing is clear plastic.
All wheels have heavy cast silver hubs with separate black rubber tyres.
The base plate is grey painted metal and is marked over the front axle area with "218", in the centre with Corgi Toys on the first line, "Patent Application 21101/59" on the second line, "Aston Martin" on the third line, "D.B.4" on the fourth line,and "Made in GT Britain" over the rear axle area. It is held in place with three rivets.
This model was issued between March 1960 and 1965.
