This model is the Corgi C675-7 Metrobus in Black. This limited edition model was released with "better buy Hitachi" advertising on both upper deck sides. This bus shows route boards for Route 82 - Birmingham via Dudley Road on the front. The side and rear route display shows only the route number (082). Both lower sides of the bus are marked HITACHI in red letters.
This model has no opening parts other than the front bi-fold doors. The front headlights and grille are represented by cast impressions that have not been highlighted. The rear also has cast impressions to represent the rear lights and number plate but these have not been highlighted with an alternative colour.
The entire interior is tan plastic. The glazing is clear with molded lines on some areas to represent the small opening slide windows present on the real bus. The stairs to the upper level have been cast into the interior castings with a corresponding opening cast into the upper interior.
All wheels are of the "speed wheel" type - hollow one piece plastic with a red 7 dot center "hub".
The base plate is black plastic and is marked with "CORGI" in the centre top, "Metrobus" at the centre bottom, and "Made in GT Britain" just behind the front "grille" of the bus. It is held in place with three rivets.
This model was issued in 1986 and is Number 797 of 5000 produced in this limited edition. Its scale is stated to be 1:50.
