This model is the Corgi 495-A-1 Mazda B1600 Pickup 4x4 in Blue. The vehicle carries "Corgi Cruiser" decals on both sides and on the bonnet. The "Corgi" is in blue on white background and "Cruiser" is in red script on white background. The model also carries "4x4" decals in yellow lettering on the bonnet and sides and a further "Open Back Truck" decal to the rear of the truck bed in white lettering on both sides. The cab roof is white.
The pickup has no opening parts other than the rear tailgate on the pickup. The main pickup casting is in one piece with the pickup cab guard (behind the cab) a separate metal casting in the same body colour. Added to the rear is a separate, black plastic casting for the roll cage and spotlights. The grill and lights are part of the base plate with lights and number plate picked out in silver.
There is no interior in this model and the cab glazing is a very black unit, without the usual representation of windscreen wipers, through which light does not pass to hide this fact.
All wheels are of the "speed wheel" type - hollow one piece plastic with a white, 6 spoke "hub" in the center.
The base plate is black plastic and is marked in front of the front wheels "Scale 1/36", "Made in GT Britain", at the centre top with corgi at the centre middle and at the bottom centre "Mazda B1600 Pickup". At the rear of the base is molded "Patent No. 1278081". It is held in place with FIVE machined rivets. A separate black plastic tow hook passes through the baseplate at the rear.
This model was issued between 1983 and 1984. Its scale was said to be 1:36.
