The entire interior is BLACK plastic with the upper interior showing around the middle of the bus as a black stripe. The glazing is clear with molded lines on some areas to represent the small opening slide windows present on the real bus. The stairs to the upper level have been cast into the lower body casting but there is no corresponding opening cast into the upper interior!
All wheels are of the "speed wheel" type - hollow one piece plastic with a chromed center, 6 spoke "hub".
The base plate is black plastic and is marked with "corgi" in the centre top, "London Transport Routemaster" in the middle centre and "Made in GT Britain" at the centre bottom. It is held in place with three rivets.
