This model is the Corgi 469-A London Transport Routemaster Bus in Blue. This model was released with BUYWISE at M. L. Electrics advertising on the left and right hand sides. This bus shows no route boards but the front and rear are marked 1 Newport in white lettering within a black panel on a paper label with a blue background to match the body colour. Both lower sides of the bus have a further label representing Southern Vectis (Red, white and blue graphic on white background and red lettering ona blue background to match the body colour).
This model has no opening parts. The front headlights and grill are represented by cast impressions that have been painted silver. The rear also has cast impressions to represent the rear lights and number plate but these have not been highlighted with an alternative colour.
The entire interior is white plastic with the upper interior showing around the middle of the bus as a white stripe. The glazing is clear with molded lines on some areas to represent the small opening slide windows present on the real bus. The stairs to the upper level have been cast into the lower body casting but there is no corresponding opening cast into the upper interior!
All wheels are of the "speed wheel" type - hollow one piece plastic with a 6 spoke, yellow centre "hub".
The base plate is black plastic and is marked with "corgi" in the centre top and "Made in GT Britain" at the centre bottom. It is held in place with three rivets.
This model was probably issued circa 1984, but I can find no specific reference to this variation in the published references.
