This model is the Corgi 461-A-1 Range Rover "Vigilant" in white Police livery.

The car has few opening parts. The two black side panels slide down to reveal First Aid kits and the two rear "gates" open to reveal the crate for carrying the road signs and witches hats that are part of the "set", as is the Traffic Policeman. The exterior has front and rear silver painted metal bumpers that are actually part of the base plate. Above the front bumper is a black plastic "grill" and two head lights picked out in silver. At the rear the indicators and rear lights are represented by painted squares in red. The two sides have a paper label applied to represent the fluorescent red body stripe surrounded by a blue outline. On the roof there is a forward facing, white on blue "Police" sign and at the rear is a red on blue "ACCIDENT" sign. Between the two signs are a spotlight on either side of the vehicle and the ubiquitous blue police light.

The interior is red plastic with a right hand drive, red plastic steering wheel inserted into the red dashboard (instrument panel). The model has fixed seat backs on the front seats and has a red plastic frame in the rear inside which sits the road signs and witches hats. The glazing is clear all round.

All wheels are of the "speed wheel" type - solid one piece plastic with a "chromed" 8 spoke "hub" in the center.

The base plate is silver painted metal and is marked at the centre top with "Made in GT. Britain" and CORGI TOYS on two lines and at the centre WHIZZWHEELS and at the bottom centre "VIGILANT Range Rover" and "PAT.APP.No. 3396/69", again on two lines. Also on the base just behind the rear axle is "MAZAK die-cast". The base has no molded shapes other than the front and rear bumpers and the front number plate. The base plate is held in place with one front and two rear machined rivets.

This model was issued January 1972 to 1979. Its scale is said to be 1:43.
