This model is the Corgi 276-A-1 Oldsmobile Toronado in metallic red.
At the front there is a chrome grille and bumper, above which are two folding headlight panels in chrome. These folding headlight panels are operated via a small bare metal wheel on the right hand side of the model, just behind the bumper. When opened the panels reveal twin pairs of inset jeweled lenses for the headlights. Above the grille, the word "Oldsmobile" is cast into the front of the bonnet and immediately behind this is the bonnet lid which does not open. There are non-opening doors on each side of the body. To the rear is a non-opening boot lid, below which is another chromed bumper and above the bumper, cast into the main body are rear lights painted in the body colour (metallic red).
The interior is yellow plastic with a left hand drive, chromed plastic steering wheel cast into the dashboard. The glazing is clear all round. This model had a grey plastic tow hook, now missing.
All wheels consist of a cast hub with simulated 10 spoke shape and a black "rubber" tyre, fitted to the "Golden Jacks" mechanisms .
The base plate is pale grey painted metal and is marked with "Patent Application No. 13380/67" to the centre top, "CORGI TOYS" at the centre middle top, "Oldsmobile, Toronado" on two lines at the centre bottom, and "Made in GT. Britain" on a single line at the centre bottom. The base is designed to facilitate the "Golden Jacks" mechanisms. It is held in place with two machined rivets, one front and one in the rear.
Issued June 1968 to 1970 .
