This model is the Corgi 269-B-1 Lotus Esprit in white "James Bond" livery.
The side fins and rear stabilisers open when the black plastic bonnet vent is pressed. The white plastic lever on the roof releases the rear rockets when operated. The front head lights are represented by molded impressions on the front of the bonnet. The black front bumper appears to have a paper label carrying the orange and white side lights and black on white background number plate [PPW 306R]. The front of the bonnet carries the red James Bond "007" logo with pistol. The rear lights are again represented by a paper label with white, red, and yellow "lights". On the boot is a cast "Lotus" badge in the body colour.
There is no interior and all windows have black glazing to hide this fact and the various mechanisms that operate the rockets and other features.
All wheels have one piece plastic hubs and tyres of the whizz wheel variety on thin steel axles.
The base plate is white painted metal (actually the lower half of the body casting) and is marked with "CORGI" at the centre top, "007" and pistol logo in the centre middle, and "Lotus Esprit, Made in Gt. Britain" on two lines at the centre bottom. The base plate is held in place with three machined rivets, two at the front and one to the rear.
Issued from 1977.
