This model is the Corgi 247-A-2 Mercedes Benz 600 Pullman in dark red. This version has both the working wipers and suspension.
There are no opening parts on this model. The front lights and trim are represented by mask prayed silver dots, while the grille, lower side trim, and front and rear bumpers are a separate chromed plastic component inserted between the base and the body casting. The front badge is missing.
The interior is a cream plastic vac-form with a left hand drive cream plastic steering wheel that has come loose. The glazing is clear all round, with simulated rain on the front screen with clear panels where the wipers turn.
All wheels are of the spun shaped type- solid one piece spun metal hubs with a separate black "rubber" tyre, fitted to steel axles.
The base plate is grey painted metal and is marked with CORGI TOYS at the centre top, "Mercedes-Benz, 600 Pullman" in the centre middle on two lines, "Patent No. 904525" at the centre bottom, and behind the rear axle it reads "Made, in Gt., Britain" on two lines, at parallel to the axle. The base plate also carries a small On/Off switch that allows the wipers to operate, and is held in place with two machined rivets.
This model was issued between 1964 and 1969.
