This model is the Corgi 222-A-2 Renault Floride in maroon. This version has both the base holes over the axles and suspension.
There are no opening parts on this model. The front lights are represented by mask prayed silver dots, above a mask sprayed silver bumper and number plate. The front badge and rear bumpers, number plate, and grille are also picked out in silver.
The interior is a cream plastic vac-form with a right hand drive silver plastic steering wheel. The glazing is clear all round.
All wheels are of the smooth type - solid one piece metal hubs with a separate black "rubber" tyre, fitted to steel axles.
The base plate is grey painted metal and is marked with CORGI TOYS at the centre top on two lines, "Renault, Floride" in the centre middle on two lines, and "222" at the centre bottom. Over the rear axle it reads "Patent, Application, 21101/59" on three lines, and over the front axle it reads "Made, in Gt., Britain" on three lines. The base plate is held in place with three machined rivets.
This model was issued between 1959 and 1965.
