This model is the Corgi 1101-B-1 Warner Swasey 4418 Hydraulic Crane in Yellow and Dark Blue. This model has a dark blue tractor body with four (4) yellow plastic "hydraulic" stabilizers, 2 front and 2 rear. The stabilizer mountings have black and yellow "hazard" stripes. This lower body also reveals a red plastic engine with black plastic exhaust. The operator cab and hydraulic crane arm etc., are in yellow with a circular W/S sign on the cab door and Warner & Swasey in red lettering on a yellow background label.

There are no opening parts but the crane jib and hook are operated by means of a small thumb wheel, one at the rear of the jib to raise and lower the jib, and the other on the side of the front-most extension of the jib to raise and lower the hook. The operator cab is free to turn in 360 degrees.

The operator cab interior is red plastic with a centre mounted, black plastic steering wheel. The glazing is clear all round.

All wheels are of a "heavy commercial" type - one piece metal hubs, painted yellow, with large heavy duty style blow-moulded "rubber" tyres.

The base plate is dark red plastic and is marked with "Made in GT Britain" over the front axle, Corgi Major at the top centre and "Warner & Swasey 4418" at the bottom centre. The base casting also appears to include the engine casting which protrudes up into the engine cover on the blue tractor body. It is held in place with four machined rivets. The rotating cab appears to be fixed using a single self tapping style screw that goes through the base and up into the centre of the cab unit.

This model was issued in September 1975 and withdrawn in 1980. Corgi produced over 155,000 of this item and its scale was stated to be 1:48.
