This model is the Corgi C617 Landrover in red Royal Mail Parcels livery. The car carries Royal Mail logos on both front side doors.

The vehicle has opening front doors and opening rear door. The exterior boasts a front bumper that is moulded to include number plate and is a part of the baseplate. Above the front bumper are the lights, represented by silver painted impressions on the body casting, as is the radiator grill. The spare wheel is attached to the front bonnet of the vehicle and it comes equipped with a black plastic tow hook assembly at the rear.

The interior is tan plastic with a right hand drive, black plastic steering wheel inserted into the tan dashboard (instrument panel). The glazing is clear all round.

All wheels are of the "speed wheel" type - hollow one piece plastic with a "chromed" patterned "hub" in the center.

The base plate is black painted metal and is marked at the rear in tiny lettering "Made in GT Britain", at the centre top with corgi and at the bottom centre "Land Rover 109WB". The base is also molded to represent a basic 4 wheel drive drive train with two differential housings, gearbox and axles and an exhaust system. It is held in place with a single rivet at the front and a body locating lug at the rear.

This particular model came in packaging that has been factory modified from that used for the 421/1 Landrover by the addition of two yellow end pieces that cover the 421 numbering with a 66mm square card with the 617 numbering on it. Interestingly no attempt was made to modify the interior cardboard plinth the vehicle sits in, which still refers to the "421/1 Land Rover".

This model was issued in April 1984 and its scale was said to be 1:36.
