This model is the Corgi 292-A-1 Ford Gran Torino in red with white stripe. This model was released as a Starsky and Hutch set with figures (not pictured).
This model has a fixed bonnet, doors and boot. The front has a chromed plastic insert to represent the bumper and grill. The rear bumper is a similar chromed plastic insert.
The interior is yellow plastic with a LEFT hand drive black plastic steering wheel. The glazing is clear.
All wheels are of the "speed wheel" type - hollow one piece plastic with a "chromed" center 4 spoke "hub".
The base plate is black plastic and is marked with "Made in GT Britain" over the front axle and "corgi" in the centre top and "Ford Gran Torino Starsky & Hutch" at the centre bottom. It is also formed to represent the front suspension, drive train, exhaust, rear suspension and petrol tank, held in place with four rivets.
This model was issued October 1977 to 1981.
