This model is the Cofradis 0004 Peugeot 504 in red Pompiers livery. The packaging is marked "Edition Limitee A 3000 Exemplaires" (Limited Edition of 3000 copies).

This model represents a standard 4 door version of the Peugeot 504 in Pompiers livery, and as such is adorned with front spotlights and a blue roof light. The model comes with the relevant "Centre de Secours Principal" decals (which have not been fixed to the model).

The model has no opening parts. It has chromed front and rear bumpers with chromed rally style lights to the front. The front grille is black and flanked by two clear lensed headlights. The rest of the body detail is cast into the body casting — body lines for bonnet, air intake, side doors and handles, petrol cap, boot lid, rear lights, and rear number plate. The roof is smooth and has a blue roof light.

The interior is black plastic with a left hand drive black plastic steering wheel. The glazing is clear with molded wipers and rear vision mirror.

All wheels have simulated chrome hubs - they are solid, one piece plastic units with chrome insert and black tyres, fitted to steel axles.

The base plate is red painted metal and is marked with "SOLIDO Made in France" on two lines to the centre top and "Peugeot 504 Rallye" on three lines at the centre bottom followed by "1/43 No.50 478" just behind the rear axle. The base plate casting also has a cast drive shaft and transmission system. It is not clear how it is held in place, but I suspect the front and rear bumpers form a clip to hold the model together.

This model was issued circa 1989. They were manufactured by Solido for the French Wholesaler Cofradis which issued them in their own packaging as part of a limited edition series of Fire related models. The accompanying leaflet gives details on 5 Citroen and Peugeot models.
