This is the Allied (US) 4 Door Sedan issued circa 1971 in blue. Little appears to be know about The Allied Moulding Corp. of Corona, New York other than they specialised in the manufacture of small inexpensive toys.
It is a one piece casting with all detail such as bumpers, lights, body lines and trim, doors, etc. cast into the metal. There is no glazing or base to the model. On the under-side the model carries the legend "Allied" cast inside a circle under the roof. Originally this model would have had a white roof sign (missing from this model).
All wheels are of a solid green plastic hub and tyre type. The domed head steel axles have been machined on both ends and are held in place by being pressed into a pinch clamp cast on the end of columns protruding from the underside of the casting.
I do not know when this item was issued but believe it to have been in the 1950s, or 1960s.
